Determine Cost Basis of VMW stock (espp/rsu) converted to AVGO (cash to boot)

Given a number of lots of either ESPP or RSU, what is the cost basis to enter in the TT-Online 1099B review where we need to edit each of the lots (portion sold with 1099B reported proceeds)? I understand the VMW basis of each lot, just not sure how to factor in (if at all) the reorganization of VMW to AVGO. Is it really just the original VMW cost basis, or must I also consider the AVGO post merger basis?
