CryptoCurrecny and "Jump to Cryptocurrency"

Why is it that the directions for Turbo tax make it seem so easy to import cryptocurrency where if you state you did transactions for cryptocurrency, nothing comes up. The search tells you to look for "jump to cryptocurrency" which does not exist. I have turbo tax premier and would think this would be included, am I missing something? So either Turbo tax has a bug to make you desperately search for a solution to somehow get them in or Turbotax never incorporated the ability to process crypto in the 2022 version. Anyone else find this mysterious "jump to cryptocurrency" to give you the option to upload a csv?

to use the Jump feature you must enter the exact keyword(s) that TurboTax wants.

Crypto csv is only available in TurboTax Online.

The Desktop version of TurboTax does not provide a separate area for the posting of cryptocurrency. For this reason, it's recommended you use the online version for your crypto tax reporting.

Cryptocurrency transactions can be imported from more than 15 different cryptocurrency services directly into TurboTax Online. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Wages & Income
  2. Scroll to Investments and Savings
  3. Select Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B)
  4. Did you sell any of these investments in 2022? screen select either Yes
  5. Select +Add investments if you've already added some crypto info.
  6. On the Get ready to be impressed screen, select Continue.
  7. On the Let’s import your tax info screen
  8. Select your crypto exchange.
  9. Your crypto will be pulled into TurboTax (Note: Imports can take up several minutes to complete)
  10. Review your cryptocurrency transaction info on the Your investments and savings (or Your investment sales summary) screen.
  11. Depending on the exchange you import from, your transactions may be labeled with Needs review. To review, open your exchange and compare the info listed with the info imported into TurboTax.
  12. When you’re done reviewing, select Continue to complete the import process.
