Since there isn't really a way to share feedback formally about the Turbo Tax service, I wanted to post here for whomever (mostly just to make me feel better). I've been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years, but this year they really upset me by sharing their rates for services rendered ONLY AFTER TAKING ME THROUGH ALL THE RETURN STEPS. I based my agreement on what I had been known to pay in previous years, including a more complicated return for 2021- and I was very upset to learn the charges were MUCH more significant this year. It felt like they purposefully obscured the rates to be charged, and while this is an obvious play, I nonetheless felt shocked by the turn of events and subsequent rates charged. I felt a bit that I had been taken advantage of, or at least that my returns had been taken hostage. I am more likely to explore my options outside of Turbo Tax next year- and expect to save money.
