Commission rebate/refund to seller

Hi! I’m trying to find out the law/rule for giving the home seller a commission refund/rebate. As a realtor with a 1099, am I able to deduct this from

my income? I read the commission refunds for a home buyer is not taxable, so is this the same for a home seller?

Commission rebate/refund to seller

I think you mean that you earned a commission that was reported on your Form 1099-NEC as self-employment income to you and you took a portion of that and gave it to the home seller. If so, you can deduct the money you gave to the seller on your business schedule C, so that only the net amount of commission you received is included in your income.
