Colorado Tabor Credit NOT Considered on Extension

I have to file an extension, because I am still missing a K-1 that I probably won't receive until September.

The extension payment that Turbo Tax Premier calculated was $1600 more than what I owed just before starting the CO extension. Do I really have to send CO the extra $1600, just because I'm filing an extension? Is there any way to change the amount paid with the current year extension? After all, this is still just an estimate at this point.
