College Application fee

Hello,

 

College application fees are not an expense that is a qualified education expense for the education credit, unfortunately. 

 

Qualified expenses are amounts paid for tuition and fees and other realted expenses that are required for enrollment or attendance at an eligible educational institution. The student must be already enrolled and the tuitiion and fees required by the school are qualified expenses. In addition , for the American Opportunity Credit, books and supplies that are required to be purchased by the institution also qualify.
