Clear Form 2210 (2023 desktop)?

I'm using the 2023 desktop TurboTax Deluxe for Mac.

I worked thru the "Underpayment penalties" section to see if I could lower my penalty. However, it turns out that by going to all the effort to annualized everything, including quarterly W/H, the penalty is actually higher if boxes C and D in Part II are checked.

However, when I work thru updating the "Underpayment penalties" section by answering NO to "Do you want to annualize your income?" and NO to "... you may elect to treat the tax withheld as paid when it was actually withheld. Would you like to do this?", TurboTax DOES NOT UNCHECK box D! Why not?

I would like to completely reset everything that entered into Form 2210, but there does not seem a way to do this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you can delete Form 2210 and then answer the questions about your underpayment penalties again.

Here's how to do that in TurboTax Desktop:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Select the Forms icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Highlight Form 2210AI in the list on the left.
  4. Select Delete Form in the lower left corner of the reading pane.
  5. Verify that you want to delete the form.
  6. Select Step-by-Step in the upper right corner.
  7. Select Federal, then Other Tax Situations.
  8. Select Start or Revisit to the right of Underpayment Penalties.
  9. Answer the questions in this section again, making sure to answer No to Annualized Income Method.
