Is this tax credit only for plug in vehicles?

Yes. The Qualified Plug-In Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit is a tax credit available for certain new, plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) placed in service before 2023.

Hi charming2424,

You may qualify for a clean vehicle tax credit up to $7500 if you buy a new, qualified plug-in electric vehicle or fuel cell electric vehicle.
