Class Reunion

Is it required to get a tax ID for a class reunion? There will be no profit made, all money collected via online processing (paypal, etc) will go to pay for the event. We do plan to sell items such as t-shirts as well as tickets as way of collecting the money to fund the event.

You don’t need a special tax ID. Make sure that the online processor understands that the payments are personal and not related to a business.
