Child get social security of about 15K and has a job making 4K I claimed him on my taxes, not entering his W2 or SS. I did a return for him it showed refund. Is this ok

I claimed his as a dependent on my return, but did not enter his W2 or SS benefits on mine..  then I did a separate return for him and it showed a substantial refund. Child is 17 yrs of age.  I wanted to know if I should file his return or not.

Yes, if he had taxes withheld on his W2 (Box 2), this would be refunded to him because he should not have any taxes due.
