I am on the window entitled : Justin andJoyce, Here's a Picture of your 2021 Income. One of the items shown there is "Capital gains and losses". The value shown there does not agree with the values shown on my 1099's from my broker.
Specifically, what numbers (and where are they located in Turbo Tax) go into the Turbo Tax calculation of the value shown in that window?
Please help.
Thanks,
Justin

The amount shown for Capital Gains and Losses comes from Schedule D.
Schedule D will include the overall gain/loss from long-term and short-term transactions, as well as any capital gain distributions reported on Form 1099-DIV. It may also include capital gains reported on K-1s. The total from Schedule D will also take into account any carryover loss amounts from your 2020 tax return.
