Can someone further explain local taxes, boxes 18-20. I have 3 W2's and I have there separate amounts for this with different locality names. Any help appreciated.

Boxes 18-20 on your W-2 report income assigned to and taxes withheld from different tax authorities.  The tax authorities could be in different states if box 15 includes a two-digit state abbreviation.

If box 15 does not indicate a different state, the tax authorities are cities, counties, school systems or another tax authority in the state.

Boxes 18-20 are not likely to be 401K or ESOP entries.
