Can My parents claim me as a dependant even if I didn't live in their home or have anything to do with them during the 2017 tax year?

I filed my return and it was rejected saying I've already been claimed on another Tax return as a Dependant.

It does not seem so if you did not live with them and supported yourself financially. Below are the requirements and what to do if they should not have claimed you.
