Can I use the 2016 package to file if I live overseas?

I live overseas, all my income is outside the US, and I have zero US assets. Does the 2016 package support scenario?

Bonus question one: which version of the 2016 software should I get?

Bonus question two: does the same apply to 2017?

If you need to file a US return form 1040 then any of the prior year downloaded versions will work for you ... start with the deluxe and upgrade if you feel the need.
