both ethe IRS and Turbotax say refiling a rejected return does not count towards the 5 limit.  (note that a rejected return needs to be corrected - you do not use the amended form 1040-x) If it is the iRS that says you exceed the 5 limit., there's nothing that can be done. It will have to be mailed. If it's Turbotax that is preventing you from filing, contact support.
