Can I make payments to the state if I owe?

Most states will allow installments ... if you file a return with a balance due and do not pay it all then they will send you a bill and info on payment plans if there are any ... you can also google search that info ... try " does (your state) allow installment payments on income taxes?"

In the FILE tab simply choose the option to send the state a check ... then you can send in a partial or no payment with the voucher that prints ... the state will send you a bill for the rest. Be aware that penalties and interest will continue to accrue until the total tax has been paid.
