Can I add a new location under "Places You Lived" under "Sales Tax Deductions"? I click the Add location button but it will not allow me to select another location.

When I click on Add location it will not allow me to add an additional state I lived in. It will only let me verify the same state that I had already entered.

Yes, you should be able to enter all the places that you lived during 2023. 

You have to enter then one at a time. Here's how to do that:

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. Select Deductions & Credits. 
3. Select Edit or Pick up where you left off. 
4. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. Expand the section by selecting the down arrow. 
5. Select Start or Revisit to the right of Sales Tax.
6. Select Continue on the first screen. 
7. Select Easy Guide on the second screen.
8. On the screen Tell Us Where You Lived, select one of the states you lived in, and enter the dates that you lived there during 2023, then select Continue.
9. Answer the questions about the sales tax rate and major purchases. When you get back to the screen Places You Lived, select + Add a location and repeat for the next state. 
10. Keep going until you enter all of the places you lived and information about major purchases.
