Mailed my payment to IRS on March 19. Check has not been cashed and cant get through to IRS or account online service. Taxes are to be payed on 17th not sure what to do.

As long as your return was postmarked by April 17th, you've filed on time. We recommend using certified mail or other ways to track your return when you mail it.

For mailed returns, it can take 5-6 weeks from the postmark date to receive a refund so it will likely take the same amount of time to cash your payment.
