Are there more detailed instructions for completing the Tax Payment by Quarter Section?

The sections quarter dates are incorrect, what does do not include estimates mean, why is there a $16K limit for the quarters, why did my taxes go up when used this

Are there more detailed instructions for completing the Tax Payment by Quarter Section?

If you paid estimated taxes in 2020 they would be posted under:

  1. Deductions & Credits
  2. Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

    1. Estimated Tax Payments

    2. Next select where the payment should be made.

The 2020 payment dates are adjusted due to Covid.

I'm not sure of the question "what does do not include estimates mean". However, there is a caution Don't enter payments made in 2020 for your 2019 tax return or any 2019 overpayment applied to this year's return.

If you prepared estimated taxes last year the $16K may be the result of a calculation.  There is no restriction on the amount of estimated tax you can pay.

You also wanted to know "why did my taxes go up when used this".  Your total taxes owed (Line 24 on your 1040) should not be affected.

If you had estimated payments they should be posted to line 26 of your 1040.  This is included in your total payments on line 33.

If I misunderstood your question, please clarify with more details.
