The reason Amazon gets packages to your door so quickly is they pay the extra postage and stick that to the seller as a shipping credit, increasing what they report in box 1a of gross revenue. The question is, since they do that, are shipping credits considered income? It's Amazingly deceptive and surprised it's even legal but they put the money in a seller's account long enough to register, then take it out again in order to to pay the overage in shipping...doubling the taxable income. Are shipping credits income?
