Yes. For me, it is not able to pull any of the 1099 forms from Morgan Stanley StockPlan Connect while I can find and download it from the website.
Does Turbotax know about the issue?
Hello - I tried to talk to a person about the issue but that was a frustrating experience so I gave up and ended up typing all the information in by hand.
Good Luck and thanks for the response.
Same here.
Cannot log into the account through Turbo Tax, but it's working perfectly fine through the MS site directly.
Why do I even bother paying for this if I have to do everything manually anyway.
I have had this problem for 3 years now. Turbotax tells me I've entered the wrong name and/or password, but I haven't. I've changed passwords to no avail. Last year I called someone, no help. Whosever fault it is, Turbotax should not list MSSC if it doesn't work. This is my only investment/brokerage/bank that fails.
I can confirm we have the same issue in 2021, I cannot connect to my MS account, I changed my password and it works on the MS site well.
Have you tried clearing your cache and refreshing? This may help. Click here for assistance.
This has happened to me every year. It has something to do with there being an intermediate step in their process. As I recall, I entered it manually until last year when I called Morgan Stanley and they were able to clear it so it downloaded. I'm sorry they don;t seem to have fixed it.
I am having problems with MS wealth management. My tax documents are not ready yet, so I wonder if once they are ready on Morgan Stanley, this problem will go away. MS may not be allowing access until the docs are ready?????
It seems pretty clear that the connection to MS stockplanconnect is broken. TurboTax, please fix it or stop advertising auto-connect.
Doest work for me either(in 2021) 😕
You may need to check your brokerage to see if they are allowing third-party access. Although the following Help Article is for Schwab, it is possible that your brokerage has restricted TurboTax's access to your statements unless you grant consent, and you might need to do something similar to what is described here: 1099 Import Issues.
As suspected, once my tax documents became available through MStanley, everything worked. Patience!!!
I logged a case last weekend with Inuit and they informed me that Turbo Tax is aware of this issue has assigned three developers around the middle of February. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing if they are working on this issue or what the priority is, but the help desk individual did inform me the more individuals that log support cases with Inuit (not through this board but contacting customer support directly) demanding resolution may increase the priority and potential resolution.
Intuit products such as TurboTax and Credit Karma use Plaid to integrate with financial institutions. It looks like the issue is that Plaid integrates with Morgan Stanley Client Serve but not Morgan Stanley at Work. See screenshot below of Google search AI.
If there are Intuit support people reviewing this board, it might be best to file a Jira (assuming you guys still use Jira) ticket with the Credit Karma eng team to remove "Morgan Stanley at Work" from the list of supported financial institutions in the link account flow. Not an ideal solution, but at least you are not frustrating your customers with a misleading user experience and flooding your customer support team with customers reporting the same issue.
