Hi, @don654 ! I'm afraid there is no way to get the IRS to process an amendment more quickly, it just takes as long as it takes. As to the refund amount, the amendment is an update to the existing return, not a replacement of it. To put it another way, if your original return resulted in a $6,600 refund, and the amendment a $0 refund, then your net refund is still $6,600. Hope this helps!
