After I Filed I Got A Rejection Email

So I was helping my daughter file her taxes for the first time and after we submitted them it sent a email about 5 minutes later and said denied because the employee number has already been used/ filed. This was not us. What does this mean and what do we do?

one thing you should check is that her social security number entered is correct.

One of two things has happened - 1 you incorrrectly typed in your daughter's ssn 2. She is victim of identity.   Which means you need to contact the IRS and work with them to highlight her SSN once that is corrected you will get a PIN from the IRS that will let you file
