I dont think that there will be that big of a problem on paper filed returns now. Yes it wont be as quick as e filing but it will not take a year to process like before. It was like that before because it was at the hight ov the covid pandemic and the IRS did not hardly have anybody working for them. As for trying a different company other than Turbotax that could be another matter however. I am a recently retired tax preparer who for years used proseries by intuit, the same ones that make Turbo Tax, and you should see the problems we had with forms then. So what I am trying to say I think the problem is Intuit and not the IRS>
