The current tax year has introduced some strict informational requirements, specifically related to Qualified Manufacturer ID (QMID) numbers for some equipment, as well as statements related to joint occupancy property.

Because of this, the IRS is currently rejecting certain returns with the Form 5695. The IRS is scheduled to begin accepting these returns on February 14, 2026. We recommend waiting until then to resubmit your return to avoid another rejection.
