5329-T Waiver Explanation

In Part IX of Form 5329-T, I entered a Waiver Explanation. It did not save the explanation. Also, Turbo Tax "Smart Check" flagged it and provided an editable field for a Detailed Explanation. I entered the same waiver description in the Detailed Explanation field in Smart Check but it did save the explanation. Any suggestions?

If you open the Form 5329-T, and type in a Waiver Statement, the Statement does get saved, but shows up with the Form 1099-R (the title Explanation Stm appears under the Form 1099-R). I just tried this with my Mac.

It can also be found again if you search for the 5329-T using Open Form at the top menu in Forms Mode. In the box labeled Waiver of Tax Smart Worksheet, click on Explanation to QuickZoom to the statement.

I should have mentioned that I missed taking my RMD and I do not have a 1099-R. It should show on Form 5329-T but it seems the software only provides a waiver description if you have a 1099-R. Perhaps Tech Support will see this and make the appropriate modifications in a future release.
