How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on Form 4562?
Some customers may encounter the following error on Form 4562 when using TurboTax Business:
This can come up for some users if the total carryover of disallowed deduction from the prior year does not match the information in Section 179.
In resolve this issue, refer to the steps provided:
Select Forms in the top right corner.
Select Sec 179 Limit from the forms in the sidebar.
Take note of the amounts on Line 10 and Line 11.
If you have Form 4562 listed in the forms in the sidebar:
Select Form 4562.
Locate the box titled Section 179 Information by Activity for K-1 Reporting (beneath Line 11).
Type the amount from Line 10 (Step 3) into column A row B.
Type the amount from Line 11 ( Step 3) into column A row C.
If you do not have Form 4562 listed in the sidebar:
Click the Open Form link at the top of the sidebar.
Type 4562 into the search box, and select Form 4562: Depreciation & Amortization.
Click Open Form.
Locate the box titled Section 179 Information by Activity for K-1 Reporting (beneath Line 11).
Type the amounts from Line 10 (Step 3) into column A row B.
Type the amount from Line 11 (Step 3) into column A row C.
Return to Step-by-Step.
Run Review again.
