I am retired. While working Minnesota I was able to fund a tax-free medical savings account. They do not provide any taxing information as it is a tax-free account. The question in Turbo Tax about the deduction specifically called out "...Include any amount deducted from your monthly Social Security benefit fo Medicare Insurance." I reimburse myself for that deduction from that medical savings account. As such I have never included any of those reimbursements as I see myself as already getting a benefit from that account. It would seem to me that if I listed those deductions (for which I am then reimbursed), I would be "double dipping" so to speak. I think the deduction would only apply to those that don't have a reimbursement potential? Thoughts? Thanks in advance

Yes, you are correct.
The expenses reimbursed by your medical savings plan cannot be counted as Medical expenses.
Thanks for the confirmation.
