where to find "attached statement" for form 8949?

I have just filed 2023 taxes electronically. The filing instructions indicate that I have to mail form 8453 with form 8949 attached.

The return has two form(s) 8949, each with a one-line entry for Long-Term transactions (one Box D, one Box E).

The "Description of Property" lists the name of the financial institution and "see attached statement." The Proceeds, Cost basis, codes, etc are all populated with values from the 1099-B from this financial institution

I cannot find an associated "attached statement" anywhere within TT. Where can I find/generate such a statement, and if TT can't create a statement, what do I attach to the form(s) 8949?

Many thanks.

The attached statement is the statement from the brokerage or financial institution that lists the details of all of the individual transactions. (Send a copy, not the original.) You don't actually have to attach the one-line 8949 forms to Form 8453, just the copies of the brokerage statements.

Thanks! Makes sense. The guidance within TT was a little cryptic 🙂
