You use the "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other" interview and tell TurboTax you did not get a 1099-B.
The resulting interview elicits the 5 pieces of information that comprise the security sale reporting on Form 8949:
- Description of what was sold
- Date of sale
- Proceeds
- Date of acquisition
- Cost basis.

To enter your investment:
- Open your TurboTax account > Wages & Income.
- Scroll to Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-K, Crypto) and Edit/Add or Update.
- On the Your investments and savings screen, scroll down to Add investments.
- Continue and on the Let's import your tax info screen, select Enter a different way.
- On the OK, let's start with one investment type screen, select Other.
- Enter the details and continue with the onscreen interview until complete.
