What do I enter for total mileage if unknown?

When entering the mileage expenses for self-employment, I am asked for the total mileage driven throughout the year. We have documentation for the business mileage, but not for other mileage. It is counted as an error if I leave it blank. If I enter dummy numbers it causes bogus information to be listed in the forms. What should I enter?

You will need a number in there, perhaps you can look at some service shop bills on the vehicle to get close to what the beginning and ending mileage is.

The program needs to know the total miles so it can determine the percentage of the vehicle that was used for business.
