Traditional & Roth IRA Section Of Turbo Tax Premier

There is a check mark in the Traditional IRA box that I can't clear. The check mark keeps reappearing after unchecking the box. I do have a Roth but not a Traditional. how do I keep it cleared? Will having a check mark in this box affect anything.

No, if you didn't enter any information for the traditional IRA contribution then the checkmark on the "Traditional IRA and Roth IRA" screen won't affect anything.

If you did not make IRA contributions then please follow these steps to delete the entry in the IRA contribution interview:

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “IRA contributions” 
3. Click on “Jump to IRA contributions"
4. Deselect the traditional IRA and then click "continue"
5. Confirm that you want to delete the entry.

Another option is to delete the "IRA Contributions Worksheet" and renter the Roth IRA contribution:

1. In the left menu, select "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
2. In the pop-up window Tool Center, select "Delete a form".
3. Select "Delete" next to the "IRA Contributions Worksheet" in the list and follow the instructions.
