On my closing statement under initial escrow payment at closing it says I paid $820. for 6 mo of property taxes. Can I claim this anywhere when filing my taxes?

I have found contradicting answers from tax professionals.

Also, can I claim prepaid interest?

That is actaully pre-payment going into your escrow account so it is not tax deductible.
