Standard deduction vs itemized in Kansas 2023

The expert response (dated in 2019) is that I must use standard deduction in Kansas if I Itemized the Fed.

You linked me to the Kansas forms which show this:

Itemized Deductions

Can I itemize my Kansas deductions?

You may itemize your deductions on your Kansas return even if you did not itemize your deductions on your federal return. To compute your Kansas itemized deductions, you must complete the Kansas Schedule A.

I don't see where I can make this choice in the software, please let me know how to proceed.

You are correct, you can't make this choice at the moment.  This is a known issue with the program.

See the TurboTax Help article Why can't I choose standard or itemized deductions for Kansas? for information on how to receive programming progress updates.
