Should the donation value of appreciated mutual funds shares be the value on the date donated?

When I entered a test item, the donation value defaulted to the original cost.

Are you entering it into ItsDeductible or TurboTax?

If you are trying to enter it into ItsDeductible and it isn't handling it right, you may need to just enter it directly into TurboTax.

Did you own the Mutual Funds for more than one year?

Date of donation ... that is why people donate stock ... if you enter in in the stock section of the charity area it works correctly ...

Why do applicable donations from Federal not carry over to State automatically? This wouldn't be so bad if one could open up two windows to view both at the same time!
