Selling an investment property seems to be a black box. How do I know if carryover passive losses are auto-captured and not duplicated?

When I view rental expenses vs. what the "wrap up" check shows, they are vastly different and I think it is due to carryover losses.

The carryover loss would appear on line 19 of your schedule E as Other Expense. If you are working online with TurboTax, you will be able to see the schedule once you pay for the program, so you can see if the entry is there.
