Hello.
It has come to my attention that a capital loss and schedule D are not among my 2023 tax return.
Where in TurboTax will I find a Schedule D form?
I'm also kind of wondering where I went wrong?
Thanks,
Kelley

When you enter an investment sale that produced a loss, TurboTax will create Form 8949 and Schedule D. We can't tell why the loss is not included in your tax return, since we can't see the return. You might have made a mistake entering the sale, or you might not have entered it at all. If the sale was a wash sale the loss would be disallowed, or you might have mistakenly said it was a wash sale. Another possibility is that it was a sale of personal property, for which you cannot claim a loss, or you might have mistakenly said it was personal property.
If you used TurboTax Online for 2023 you had to have used the Premium version in order to enter an investment sale.
