Residential energy credit - Step-by-step high efficiency furnace handling is wrong

Within form 5695, 24a, a 30% credit is available for Furnace or Hot Water Boilers.

The Step-by-Step form query only phrases this entry as Water Boiler. It does not prompt the user to enter a value if it is a high efficiency furnace. This will lead users to overlook a tax credit to which they are entitled.

Residential energy credit - Step-by-step high efficiency furnace handling is wrong

You are correct about this.  It has been submitted to the developers for an update to the wording on the screen so that it is more obvious where to enter the cost of high efficiency furnaces.
