Why am i not able to efile my federal taxes? I live overseas and have no income except for interest income on foreign assets. What do i need to do to be able to efile?

@mala , you cannot e-file  with zero Adjusted Gross Income.  However, if you have just interest income, meaning your AGI is positive, there  should no reason why cannot e-file.   TurboTax may impose  requirements like  US credit Card ( and I think US mailing address for the card ) but outside of that you should be OK.  Are you taxed by the  local taxing authority on your  interest income?  If so you can avoid  / ameliorate   double taxation by filing for foreign tax credit ( and if you have NO US income i.e. Foreign income is your world income then you would 100% credit).

Is this the issue or am I in the left field ---- please  provide your immigration status ( US ), the country where you are,  etc.
