Form 1099-Q

My son's 1099-Q lists 5 different funds with distributions from each.  Turbo Tax only shows one entry for the gross amount.  How am I supposed to enter each distribution individually?

If your son's income $2,705.30 is earned income (Earned income includes wages, tips, salaries, and payment from self-employment) and all 1099-q distributions were used on qualified education expenses,  then he doesn't need to file a return.

You don't need to enter the 1099-Q at all if the distributions were used for qualified education expenses.  If you received more than you spent on qualified education expenses then you will enter the distributions and the expenses and pay taxes on the excess.

Here are what are qualified education expenses.

Okay, that sounds good.  Please excuse my ignorance on this subject!  So does he have to file a return because of the 1099-Q (all of the distributions went to U. of Utah)?  His total income for 2023 was only $2,705.30, and has no other tax situation.  Single, full-time student.
