Business Income and Expenses / Job-Related Expenses

I entered info about my car, home office, and expenses in both the Business Income and Expenses and Job-Related Expenses. Am I supposed to? It seems weird to be placing it in both places.

This is for my 1099-Misc work as a part-time social media freelancer. I also have a full-time W-2 job, but the expenses I'd like to deduct isn't for that. It's for the social media work I do from home.

No, you should only be deducting your self-employment related expenses under business income and expenses.

What if you have both self employment related expenses and other expense as an employee of a business?

The Job Related Expenses if you are an employee are no longer deductible except in rare cases.  You can enter the Self-Employment expenses on Schedule C- but do not include ANY expenses related to your W2 income.
