Prior year points
I just discovered that I should have included points [origination, discount fees] on my tax returns since 2009 [when I purchased my home]. Is there a way to catch up on the lost deductions for prior years [the yearly amortizations]?

You can amend those returns within the statute of limitations. If timely filed, that would be 2013 forward. (And the statute for refunds for 2013 expires on April 17, 2017.)
