Partial Child Care Credit Money Received

HI,

My baby is 11 months old and I only received $270 out of the $300 for the Childcare Credit money this month.  I claim Head of Household and my income is less than $112K that they noted as the cap for receiving $300.  Why would I not receive the entire amount?

Thank you.

It sounds like the IRS believes you will not be entitled to the entire tax credit. It could be that your income is too high, or too low. Without knowing all your tax details, it's impossible to know, and to be honest, even then it is difficult. However, any credit to which you were entitled, if it is not paid out in an advance, will be credited to you on your next annual return.
