That should not be anything TurboTax reports to you or would even know.
YOU tell the program how your spouse claimed deductions in your Personal Info interview.
Please go back through that interview if you need to edit.
Turbotax has no way of knowing what your wife used in her return unless you answer a question in your return -
either (spouse's first name) or I claimed itemized deductions. that box must be unchecked if she used the standard deduction.
married filing separately usually results in higher combined taxes than a joint return. also, some deductions and credits are limited or not allowed at all.
