Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

My tax refund is half of what I got last year. I do have a HSA that I'm filing this year but it's pre tax so it shouldn't make a difference. Can someone help me.

Why did you mention the HSA? Is it new this year for you?

Yes, contributions to an HSA are tax-deductible - but ONLY if you have completed the HSA interview to show that you had qualifying HDHP health coverage in 2019.

If you do not complete the HSA interview (search for "hsa" and jump to the result), then your HSA contributions as shown on your W-2 in box 12 with a code of W will be added to your income, per IRS rules.
