My son was born in august of 2016 but i am not receiving the child tax credit. why is this?

You will need to make certain that you said the child lived with you for the entire year when you entered the child's information as a dependent. To revisit that are, click on Personal Info, then click to edit beside of the child's name and continue through the screens until you come to the page that asks whether the child lived with you the entire year.
