My husband covers our health insurance and we both use the HSA account. How do I answer, "did you put some of your HSA contributions into Jessica's HSA?

An HSA is owned by only one person, even though both spouses can contribute to it and spend money from it. So it seems like it's a joint account, but it's not.

So the answer is whoever signed the paperwork to create the HSA (probably your husband).

And, yes, this means that you each could have your own HSAs.
