Long Term Health Care expenses

My husband is in a long-term memory care facility with Alzheimers and Parkinsons.  He is wheelchair bound and has been classified as chronically ill.  I pay a monthly residence fee. Can that be claimed on my taxes and under long term services (it was over $100K) for 2021?  I have long-term health care insurance that pays for most of the expenses. So does that cancel out the deduction?

Long Term Health Care expenses

Yes, reimbursement or payment of residence fees, by your long term health insurance provider, cancels out the deduction. However, you may be able to claim the portion of medical expenses, that you pay out of pocket, if you itemize.
