Can you still deduct mileage for unreimbursed employee job related mileage for Tax Year 2023?  For Federal and Virginia State?

Job related employee unreimbursed expenses for Tax Year 2023

No, the job-related mileage cannot be claimed on your Federal return unless you work in certain professions.  The job-related mileage may be claimed on your Virginia return if Virginia is one of the states that did not conform to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that was passed in 2017.  You would enter the information as part of your Federal return and it will be transferred to the Virginia return.
