Is mileage driven interviewing for jobs after being laid off deductible?

I was laid off and interviewed at several places in search of a new job.  Is the mileage looking for a job deductible?

Unfortunately, no. Unreimbursed employee expenses are no longer a deduction. That expense is a job search expense.

Up to tax year 2017, job-search expenses were deductible as an itemized deduction subject to the 2% of AGI floor.

Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the itemized deductions for job search expenses subject to the 2% of AGI floor are suspended for expenses incurred after December 31, 2017 through 2025.
